RaisingImpact.Org (RIO) aims to maximise the impact of philanthropic capital in India and across Asia. We provide analytically anchored, regionally rooted, bespoke philanthropic advisory service to bridge the persistent gap between philanthropic intent and measurable outcomes.
Inspired by global leaders like Founders Pledge and GiveWell, RIO brings analytical discipline to the Indian landscape where state-level variations, local nuance, and execution quality make all the difference. Our mission is to help philanthropists deploy their capital with clarity, evidence, and confidence.
RIO’s purpose is to steer philanthropic capital to organisations capable of delivering outsized, scalable impact.
Our Journey So Far
RIO began with a pilot research study in Early Childhood Care & Education (ECCE). The team mapped sector needs, capital flows, effective interventions, and credible nonprofits across India.
Findings included a 17x impact multiple for Anganwadi (child care centres) capacity-building and Maharashtra’s (Indian state) paradox of high CSR funding but poor child well-being outcomes.
RIO is delighted to be working with our first client focused on strategic investments in income improvement for small and marginal farmers applying our methodology to deliver actionable, contextspecific recommendations.
